Look no further! My client is currently seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join their team and play a pivotal role in our finance department.
This role is based in Centurion.
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide array of duties, including but not limited to:
Statutory Returns Management:
- Ensuring timely and accurate submission of CIPC Annual Returns and various SARS Tax Returns.
- Handling VAT201s, Income Tax Returns, Provisional Tax submissions, and Annual Payroll Recon with precision.
- Managing STATS SA Returns to uphold compliance standards.
Operational Duties Coordination:
- Acting as a liaison with third parties on legal matters and financial statement audits.
- Collaborating with insurance providers for asset management and risk mitigation.
- Engaging with banking institutions for operational requirements and guarantees.
- Facilitating asset sale/purchase agreements and overseeing budgeting processes.
- Spearheading tax planning initiatives and weekly cash flow forecasting.
Other Responsibilities:
- Reviewing accounting transactions and documents processed by colleagues.
- Preparation of financial and management statements, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Providing support during SARS audits and review processes.
- Monthly reporting and implementation of internal accounting controls.
- Assisting with tender documentation and general operational reporting as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Completed SAIPA Articles with 3 years post articles experience as an Accountant.
- Proven experience in financial accounting roles, ideally within a similar industry.
