As a Finance Graduate, you will have the opportunity to rotate through different teams across RAA’s Finance team. During these rotations, you will get the opportunity to develop your skills through practical, hands-on, and strategic financial activities such as (but not limited to):
- Financial accounting, including account reconciliation, asset management and month end reporting.
- Assist in the coordination of all accounting, reporting and analysis generated monthly, annually and long-term frequency, inclusive of P&L, Balance sheet and Cash Flow for RAA Executive, CFO, Group Finance and cost centre owners.
- Assist in the coordination, consolidation, and analysis of annual budgeting processes – Group P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
- Preparation of timely and accurate insightful performance analysis focused on informing decision support.
- Support the preparation of monthly functional financial performance reporting, ensuring it’s accuracy and completeness.
- Support in preparation of functional forecasts reflecting all risks, opportunities, trending assumptions and initiatives.
- Help with the preparation of Group Income Tax, Payroll Tax, GST and BAS returns.
- Assist with preparation of tax effect calculations, tax notes and reconciliations as required.
About you
You are a confident and passionate self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a high performing culture. You’re passionate about helping our community (and members) and want to make a difference.
For this role, we’re also looking for:
- Currently studying a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or commerce, due to complete in 2024 or completed in 2023.
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts, principles, and standards.
- Analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter and quick learner.
- Strong attention to detail, and can manage deadlines and expectations.
- Teamwork demonstrated through extracurricular activities (e.g. sports, clubs, work, societies)
- Intermediate MS Excel spread sheet skills (modelling and reporting).
- Focused on process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work cross functionally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 5.0 GPA or minimum credit average.
