Job description: Our client, a reputable provider of both commercial and personal lines of insurance, is seeking a skilled Commercial Account Manager to join their team. This role is critical for managing client accounts and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and carriers.As a primarily administrative and client service-focused position, you will ensure that all aspects of account management are handled efficiently and effectively, from pre-renewal meetings to policy binding, contributing to the company’s reputation for excellent service.Job Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring all their insurance needs are met with the highest level of service and attention.
- Conduct pre-renewal meetings to discuss and understand client needs and expectations for the upcoming period.
- Make necessary policy changes in response to client requests or changes in their situation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Obtain and present quotes from carriers, providing clients with comprehensive options and recommendations.
- Re-market accounts as needed to ensure clients are receiving the best coverage options available.
- Process certificates and endorsements, ensuring all documentation is accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
- Create and deliver presentations to clients, clearly explaining policy details, changes, and recommendations.
- Bind policies, ensuring all client agreements and requirements are met and properly documented.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management within the insurance industry, particularly in commercial and personal lines.
- Strong understanding of the insurance market, with the ability to effectively communicate with and manage relationships with carriers.
- Excellent administrative skills, with a focus on detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and clients simultaneously.
- Strong client service orientation, with the ability to understand and respond to client needs effectively.
- Not a sales role, but the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with clients is essential.
- Proficiency in insurance industry software and tools, as well as general office applications.
