The Role

The Business Program Officer will support the work of Aboriginal Economic Development business programs aligned to the Yuma Yirramboi Strategy (YYS).

Reporting to the Manager of Aboriginal Business Programs in the Aboriginal Economic Development Branch (AED), the role involves supporting the development and management of projects and working with Aboriginal businesses and entrepreneurs and working across Victorian government agencies and the Aboriginal community.

This role requires a sound understanding of project management, financial management and procurement processes including continuous improvement, monitoring and evaluation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need an understanding of Aboriginal economic development and/or knowledge and experience in working with Aboriginal community and understanding of the impacting issues on society and culture, especially in relation to supporting economic development, business development and entrepreneurship would be highly regarded.
