About the role:

Known internally as the Clinical Administration Officer, you will provide high level administration support to the Clinical Governance Team as well as Clinical Governance functions across the organisation and broader RFDS Risk & Assurance teams.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Brisbane Corporate Office, with the added flexibility to work from home. As the Clinical Administration Officer, you will support clinical governance functions across the organisation, playing a key role in improving patient safety outcomes.

Key Duties Include:

  • Administer release of information of clinical data and records in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and statutory requirements.
  • Organise and coordinate several clinical governance related committees, including collation and distribution of agendas, confidential minute taking, tracking and following up of action items, and support the broader Risk & Assurance teams in these areas as requested.
  • Manage the Clinical Governance internal SharePoint site ensuring it is kept up to date as required.
  • Manage the Clinical Governance inboxes and liaise with the team to direct and prioritise tasks.
  • Assist with policy and procedure development, review, formatting, and updates
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with key stakeholders regarding privacy, confidentiality, patient access and other various medico-legal legislative requirements
  • Support clinician credentialing and scope of clinical practice systems and processes as required

To be successful in this role you will have excellent organisational skills, be a team player and possess the following:

  • Previous experience in administration
  • Knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge regarding clinical governance systems and processes, including health information systems; medicolegal requests; consumer feedback; patient safety; clinical case review; document management; clinician credentialing; quality improvement and accreditation
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in minute taking for senior level meetings including organisation of meetings start to end and tracking of action items
  • Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to establish priorities and manage workloads within deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and achieve goals
  • High attention to detail
  • The ability to pick up new systems and databases quickly
