What you’ll be doing

The Nurse Educator develops and delivers nursing education programs and courses for a specific portfolio or across a clinical division.

The Nurse Educator identifies opportunities to develop the capability of the workforce to respond to current and emerging paediatric areas of healthcare.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant post registration nursing/ midwifery clinical or education qualifications relevant to the clinical area.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate education and training programs for paediatrics and adolescents within the portfolio or responsibility.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills including the ability to communicate, negotiate and problem solve.
  • Demonstrate evidence of the provision of relevant education material and programs that incorporate the use of adult learning principles.
  • Evidence of being professionally active within the specialty area of paediatrics and adolescents demonstrating self-motivation along with competence in managing competing priorities to deliver quality outcomes
  • Evidence of preparation of written submissions and reports and demonstrated skills in the use of MS Office
