If so, we want you to lead our little learners on their daily adventures at the Family YMCA Child Development Academy!About the Job:As a Lead Teacher, you will be the leader of the classroom, full of bright, energetic, and sometimes sticky-fingered little learners. You will create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn, play and grow.What You’ll Do:
- Plan fun and creative activities that make learning fun and engaging.
- Foster a love for books, numbers, and hands-on learning.
- Maintain lesson plans and keep parents and directors in the loop on child’s progress.
- Be a mentor to assistant teachers and a role model for our little learners.
- Handle big emotions with patience and kindness.
What We Are Looking For:
- A passion for early childhood education.
- Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
- A team player with great communication skills.
- The ability to turn everyday moments into learning opportunities.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or related fields is a plus!
