Job description: We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Tour Guide to join our team. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for providing engaging and informative tours to visitors at various locations. Whether leading groups through historic landmarks, scenic countryside, or bustling city streets, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for history, culture, and natural landscapes.As a Tour Guide, you will have the chance to enhance visitors’ experiences by providing interesting facts, stories, and anecdotes. You will need to be able to adapt your tour to different audiences, ensuring an enjoyable and educational experience for adults, families, and school groups. Additionally, you will have the ability to handle unexpected situations that may arise during tours, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all participants.Responsibilities
- Conduct guided tours, providing historical, cultural, and/or environmental information
- Engage with tour participants, answering questions and providing additional information as needed
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants throughout the tour
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times
- Stay up-to-date with current events and attractions to provide the most accurate and relevant information during tours
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of tours and assist with any necessary tasks
- Handle complaints or concerns from tour participants in a professional and empathetic manner
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Tour Guide or in a related field
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Extensive knowledge of the local history, culture, and attractions
- Ability to multitask and handle large groups of people
- Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays, as well as on short notice
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Expected salary: 5600 – 7200 per month
