As a Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective technical operations of a fleet of offshore support vessels. This includes preventive maintenance, compliance with Class and Flag State requirements, budgeting, and liaising with internal departments and third-party service providers. You will play a crucial role in maintaining vessel readiness, supporting offshore operations, and ensuring technical excellence.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage technical operations of assigned vessels including repairs, inspections, and dry dockings
  • Ensure full compliance with Class, Flag, ISM, ISPS, and IMCA requirements
  • Oversee planned preventive maintenance and monitor onboard PMS systems
  • Prepare and manage annual vessel technical budgets and control expenses
  • Liaise with ship masters and chief engineers for technical support and performance feedback
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors for service and repairs
  • Maintain technical records, logs, and vessel documentation in PMS
  • Oversee onboard equipment including winches, cranes, ROV installations, and certification
  • Ensure spare parts and consumables are sourced cost-effectively and delivered on time
  • Participate in tender evaluations, technical appraisals, and vendor assessments
  • Conduct crew appraisals for engineering staff and support talent development
  • Contribute to dockings, survey planning, and fleet performance analysis

Job Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Marine, or Electromechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2-3 years of shore experience or sea-going experience as Chief Engineer
  • Familiarity with offshore vessels including AHTS, PSV, tugboats, and dive support units
  • Valid STCW certificates and strong understanding of ISM, ISPS regulations
  • Knowledge of Planned Maintenance Systems and marine project management tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Projects, and CAD software
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • DP vessel experience is a strong advantage
