The Technical Superintendent will be accountable for the technical performance of assigned offshore vessels, including overseeing planned maintenance, dockings, surveys, equipment installations, and cost control. The ideal candidate should possess strong engineering experience and practical knowledge of vessel operations, especially with AHTS, PSV, or diving support vessels.   • Manage the technical operations of vessels, including maintenance, repairs, and dockings
  • Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, and international safety regulations
  • Monitor and support on-board Planned Preventive Maintenance systems
  • Maintain classification and survey status of each vessel
  • Supervise installation and certification of third-party equipment such as ROV and diving systems
  • Liaise with Chief Engineers and Masters for operational and technical support
  • Monitor vessel performance, inspections, and ensure technical records are up to date
  • Manage technical budgets, spares procurement, and contractor coordination
  • Contribute to tender preparation and vendor evaluations
  • Review vessel logs and inspection reports regularly
  • Provide end-of-contract evaluations for Chief Engineers

Job Expectations

  • Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
  • 2-3 years shore-based experience as Technical Superintendent or 2-3 years sea-going experience as Chief Engineer
  • Strong familiarity with AHTS, PSV, DSV or Offshore Tug vessels
  • DP vessel experience is an added advantage
  • Sound knowledge of PMS, ISM/ISPS systems, and STCW compliance
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Projects, and CAD tools
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
