Candidate Current Location: AnyJob OverviewThe Technical Engineer will oversee the technical review, design coordination, and commissioning of firefighting systems across high-rise and residential projects. The role involves ensuring that all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in line with UAE regulations, authority requirements, and Azizi Developments’ high-quality standards.Key Responsibilities– Provide technical support in the design, installation, inspection, and commissioning of firefighting systems, including sprinkler systems, hydrants, fire pumps, and standpipe systems
– Coordinate closely with project managers, contractors, site engineers, and consultants to ensure fire protection systems meet project specifications and authority requirements
– Review drawings, material submittals, and shop drawings for firefighting systems to ensure compliance with codes and standards
– Supervise and oversee the testing and commissioning processes to ensure systems are fully operational before project handover
– Ensure all firefighting system installations comply with UAE Civil Defense codes and other relevant regulations
– Assist in preparing and submitting documents for authority approvals and inspections
– Identify and resolve technical issues on-site to avoid project delays
– Maintain accurate records of testing results, inspections, and compliance certifications
– Support in the preparation of reports and documentation for internal management and regulatory agenciesRequired Skills and ExperienceEducation:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institutionExperience:
– Minimum 5 years of experience in firefighting system design, installation, and commissioning
– At least 3 years of UAE-based experience working on high-rise or large residential construction projectsSkills:
– Proficient in firefighting system design tools such as AutoCAD and Revit
– Strong technical knowledge of firefighting system components, pumps, sprinklers, alarms, and hydrants
– Familiarity with UAE Fire and Life Safety Codes, NFPA standards, and Civil Defense approval processes
– Excellent site supervision and project coordination skills
– Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
