Our Master Data Management team is looking for an MDM Developer focusing on data management, data quality and data governance as we continue our transformation to SAP. We are seeking a developer who understands the architecture and possibilities available with Master Data Management Domains of Customer, Supplier, Item, and Location. Ideal candidates partner well with teammates in the execution of end to end, large-scale, sophisticated, data-focused technology projects.
We work closely with our business teams, so the ability to build connections is critical for responding to technical queries, working with both on-site and off-site teams, handling and resolving project issues, as well as coaching, guiding, and mentoring junior members in the team. We need problem solvers who will help us identify problems, develop ideas, and propose solutions.Job Description

  • Support Design, development, and deployment of SAP S4 MDM ( BP, Material Master, Bank Master) solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to collect requirements and implement MDM functionalities.
  • Design and create technical solutions for configuration adjustments, workflows, data models, and validation rules.
  • Draft detailed technical specifications and documentation for MDM solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP MDM with other SAP modules (Success Factors, EWM, GTS, ACM) and external systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to MDM processes, data discrepancies, and integration challenges.
  • Provide support for SAP system upgrades and version transitions.
  • Coordinate and implement retrofitting of changes across different environments (N, N+1, N+2).
  • Collaborate with SAP developers to implement ABAP changes as needed.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs) and incorporate SAP’s recommendations into solutions.
  • Align MDM processes and solutions with industry best practices.
  • Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide post-go-live support.

Qualifications & Technical Proficiencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a related experience
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Management (MDM), including the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP MDM solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SAP MDM architecture, data modeling, workflow configuration, and data governance frameworks to ensure effective management of master data.
  • Proficient in SAP data management tools and technologies, including ABAP, SAP UI5, Fiori, and integration technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, ALE, and RFC.
  • Extensive experience with Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Integration, particularly within a mature data environment.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles to ensure consistent, high-quality master data across the enterprise.
  • Strong grasp of the impact and requirements for data quality and governance in SAP implementations.
  • Experience in integrating SAP MDM with other enterprise solutions and third-party systems, leveraging integration tools such as SAP PI/PO, Azure Middleware, and similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and execute bug fixes in the MDM and SAP environments.
  • Must be capable of facilitating discussions, fostering communication between business and technical teams, and leading conversations around master data and technical solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong eagerness to learn and keep up-to-date with the latest tools, technologies, and industry trends in SAP and data management.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new environments, technologies, and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) and SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with Azure Middleware and other cloud-based integration tools.
  • Passion for data-a deep interest in working with data and a creative, out-of-the-box approach to solving data-related challenges.
