About the Role:

The Team Leader – Employment and Inclusion Supports sees a unique opportunity to partner with a diverse range of people on their employment journey.

This newly created role is a permanent full-time opportunity, based in our Cooma office, and offers an annual salary package between $91,000 and $97,000 dependent on qualifications and experience.

What will my role entail?

You will work to facilitate participant’s goals to obtain employment by:

  • Supporting the pre-employment discovery process and uncover opportunities that align with goals and aspirations.
  • Assisting participants to prepare for and discover pathways to employment by using strengths-based, creative and innovative approaches which are individualised & tailored to build each persons capacity.
  • Playing an active part in supporting skill development that’s tailored to the individual to support them in obtaining and maintaining employment
  • Coordinating work experience, volunteering, and paid employment opportunities.
  • Maintain a network of internal and external contacts that maximize capacity building and employment opportunities for participants.
  • Thinking outside the box and helping to establish micro-businesses.

  • Proven success in achieving employment outcomes for people with disability within a NDIS or Disability Employment Services framework
  • Familiarity with Person-Centred Planning and the Discovery Process to identify an individual’s employment pathway.
  • Excellent communication skills to build genuine rapport with families, carers, and their support networks.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships and networks within the community such as schools, employment and business support services and other organisations.
  • Team player, with the skills to lead, coach and mentor a team of Support Workers.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide information for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of participants and employees.
