Newton Moore Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of English – Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2025.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Newton Moore Senior High School in 2024 are eligible to receive an of $5 000.00 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
About the role
As a teacher at our school you will have the belief that all students can learn and you will have expert knowledge of the English curriculums and be able to deliver them to students in an engaging manner to allow each student to reach their full learning potential. We are seeking applicants with excellent classroom management skills who have the desire to build positive, caring relationships with students. To be successful you must be able to differentiate curriculum and provide explicit instruction to meet the needs of students with a range of achievement levels and language backgrounds.
It is highly regarded for applicants to have understanding and experience in teaching Australian Curriculum and Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses. Demonstrated success in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and students at academic risk will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will participate as an integral member of the teaching teams and be responsible for supporting the collaborative approach to curriculum planning, providing learning programs to students according to the needs of the school community and modelling exemplary classroom practice.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
