Job Description

Grow your career with a global retailer as a Tax Analyst within our Taxation team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent position.

What does the role look like?

  • Complete ALDI’s Direct Tax compliance obligations, including Tax Effect Accounting, Income Tax Return, Year-end statutory reporting, and Transfer Pricing requirements.
  • Maintaining and continuously improving ALDI’s tax governance framework and tax risk management.
  • Prepare detailed tax position papers and internal memos.
  • Liaise with external advisors and ATO on tax matters.
  • Participate in projects within the Tax Team and across the wider business.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and implement strategies, processes, and controls to enhance business efficiency.
  • Remain up to date with all relevant legislation and assist in communicating relevant changes to the Tax Team and the wider business.
  • Adhere to guidelines, meet specified deadlines and effectively complete allocated tasks to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with all relevant taxation legislation, internal and external reporting obligations in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or Taxation
  • Minimum 3+ years’ corporate tax experience, either in a large corporate or Professional Services Firm
  • A team player with an exceptional ability to engage with and support stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and innovative work environment
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical ideas to non-technical users

Expected salary: $134500 – 153400 per year
