Responsibilities:POSITION SUMMARY:We are currently hiring a System Software Engineer to support our global software client in Boise, ID. This role is technical in nature and the ideal candidate would benefit from experience in an ever-evolving R&D team culture. This position reports into the Customer Assurance (CA) department and will work with other various organizations to develop reporting tools for the CA team. This position focuses on bringing disparate data sources together to create an overall view/dashboard of customer escalations and where their issues are in the overall resolution lifecycle. This is a full-time, long-term position with day shift available working hybrid. You must reside locally to the client-site in Boise with a Monday through Friday work week.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Perform regular system maintenance (security updates/app updates/patches) as needed
- Maintain existing web-based reports.
- Create new reports or tools as requested against a priority list.
- Perform system testing as needed for bug fixes or enhancements.
Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to configure, deploy and support Linux and Windows web-based application framework (Apache, PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Proven ability to design in PHP, HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Proven experience with designing web-based applications based on specific requirements.
- Experience working within a medium to large corporation and building custom web-based tools.
- Ability to design for and support Windows/Linux web-based application framework (Apache, IIS, C# for ASP.NET, SQL) a plus.
- Knowledge of GIT SCM.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and present a professional and positive attitude.
- Must be a self-starter with strong initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be an out of box thinker and have the drive to resolve issues and work around roadblocks with minimal supervision.
- Need both creative thinking capabilities along with critical problem-solving skills.
- Consultation with customer on requirements and specifications for new tools/reports.
- Knowledge of Zendesk website/call center maintenance.
- Knowledge of Power BI a plus.
- Knowledge of Jira for defect/enhancement tracking.
- Development and maintenance of multiple tools and websites.

- A competitive pay range of $34- $36/hr (dependent on relevant experience).
