Job description: Synerfac is looking for a Sr. Safety Manager for our client in Dulles,VA. Our Client is an expert in MEP building systems and provides integrated, full lifecycle solutions that optimize the design, construction, operation, and efficiency of buildings.The Senior Safety Manager assists the Division Safety Leader in enforcing and regulating all safety procedures to ensure that the company meets all safety requirements in the field and all facilities by managing and coordinating Safety activities across an area or region.– Manages/conducts safety audits and inspections and recommends correction of hazardous situations for compliance with regulatory, Company and owner requirements for an area within the division.
– Develops reports and presentations for safety briefings with division and company management.
– Provides strategic and proactive direction on initiatives that will improve company Environmental, Health and Safety performance through minimizing risks and liabilities
– Implements all aspects of corporate safety manual and ensures that all field employees and subcontractors are complying. Ensures consistency, quality and compliance at all locations
– Oversees and directs programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies
– Provides guidance for departmental processes and activities including compliance with safety regulations and the investigation of accidents. Guides emergency response to employees as needed
– Uses information to track trends and injury rates. Develops current and future loss control strategies and implements corrective actions to prevent similar incidents
– Reviews and/or contributes to updating training materials and manages employee training as necessary
– Provides leadership and recommendations regarding the design, implementation and administration of safety-relative initiatives, policies, procedures and processes. Leads Adhoc Safety projects
– Provides performance coaching and feedback for direct reports as needed. Participates in annual performance process.
– Leads hiring process for the responsible area or regionJob Requirements– Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health or Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline preferred.
– 8+ years experience in related field, including employee training experience.
– 5+ years of Safety Management experience in construction or semi-conductor industry
– 3+ years of experience in leading and guiding safety employees across multiple sites/states.
– Certifications in CPR and First Aid, OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, OSHA 40hr is required.
– OSHA 500, CHST or ASP certifications highly preferred
– Must be able to take their CSP within 12 months of hire
Expected salary: $105000 – 120000 per year
