Our client, they have 80 assets under management equating to around 11,000 units mainly in MA, but also in NH and RI several hundred billion in value. Roughly half of the 80 assets are owned and managed by them and the other half are strictly managed by this company from a 3rd party standpoint without ownership stake.

Sr. Property Accountant Responsibilities:
– Record monthly gross potential rents, loss/gain to lease, and vacancy.
– Perform all monthly account reconciliations and update supporting analytical schedules on a timely basis (cash, intercompany accounts, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accounts payable, accrued expenses).
– Recalculate and adjust management fees as required.
– Ensure timely payments of monthly mortgages and quarterly real estate tax payments.
– Create and maintain recurring payables and journal entries for each property as needed.
Sr. Property Accountant Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a 3.0 minimum GPA.
– 3 years of Accounting experience.
– Proficiency with Property Management/Accounting software. Yardi preferred.
– Strong analytical skills and ability to identify areas of process improvement opportunities.
