We are seeking an experienced Sr. Engineer – Projects (Electrical) DEWA-approved to join our team on a power project. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the electrical engineering aspects of the project, ensuring that all electrical designs, installations, and testing are completed to the highest standards and in compliance with DEWA regulations.Job Responsibilities· Ensure execution of project activities as per project plan and ensure availability of required materials, man hours, and skill levels to carry out site activities.
· Allocates work to subordinates and contractors, checks progress providing instructions and advice as necessary and ensures that works are completed confirming to established work standards and statutory requirements.
· Plans & carries out the routine and preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance.
· Troubleshoots and analyses the root cause to avoid recurrence of the problem and to provide permanent solution.
· Ensures plant availability and reliability are maintained as per the requirements.
· Plans & carries out the commissioning activities related to new projects.
· To ensure that records and files of work performed, in progress, and work completed are available and maintained. Completes and processes documentation related to his section such as time sheets, material costs, repairs and activity reports.
· Ensure material and spare parts through on-site inspection of delivered material. Ensures that optimum stock of material is maintained to cover all eventualities and material is salvaged and reconditioned wherever possible.
· Prepares regular work reports – Daily reports, Equipment failure reports, Incident/Accident reports, Monthly reports, staff/contractor appraisal reports, indicating activities carried out, problems encountered and produces analysis reports of a technical nature indicating failures and recommendations to alleviate recurring problems.
· Assists in the development of ‘Plant changes’ for modification or improvements in the present systems. Reviews or prepares drawings and technical specification for such work. Supervises any in-house project work done by technicians/contractors. Participates in the testing and commissioning of new or modified systems, updates ‘on-site’ information and drawings’ and records ‘As-built’ drawings.
· To manage all matters pertaining to the QHSE management system requirements, specific to their concerned area of operation as mentioned in this QHSE manual as well as all the concerned procedures and to ensure that quality, health, safety and environment regulations are adhered in all operations and to take active leadership in the implementation and enforcement of company policies and QHSE management system.Salary AED 15000-19000 (all in) + benefits
Expected salary: 15000 – 19000 per month
