Exciting Events Manager position available assisting in the delivery of significant events

The Special Events Manager, Cultural & Campus Events in the Division of External Engagement, the Special Event Coordinator will assist in the planning and delivery of a series of events related to a significant project and all associated events on several campuses of the University of Adelaide. The role is required to establish and implement excellent event management skills including (but not limited to) artist and company management, technical and production supplier management, budgets and spend tracking, industry awards and payroll, and will work in close collaboration with many university faculties and departments as well as several external suppliers. A well-developed knowledge of the cultural industry in Adelaide and a proven track record of coordinating events in Australia and/or in a university setting are highly desirable.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in event coordination with an understanding of special event management.
  • Ability to use appropriate software to establish and execute relevant documents and communications.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication standards.
  • Excellent ability to foster internal and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial procedures, including budget tracking.
