Job title: Special Access Program (SAP) Security Specialist – TS/SCI

Job description: We are looking for a Mid-Level Special Access Program (SAP) Security Specialist to join our team in Crystal City, VA! The SAP Security Specialist will be primarily required to work on-site with eligibility to telework subject to COR approval in accordance with PWS Section 6.9.
As a Mid-Level SAP Specialist, you will:
- Develop and implement a multi-disciplined security program for complex, major acquisition special access programs.

A Week in the Life of a Mid-Level SAP Specialist:
- Act as an alternate Activity Security Representative,
- Act as a liaison between the OUSD(R&E) security office and OASD(CT).
- Process government and contractor requests for Common Access Cards (CAC).
- Respond to physical security issues in accessing the Mark Center, the Pentagon, and other government facilities.
- Process foreign visit requests and travel security issues for overseas travel.
- Disseminate procedures for alarmed space access as provided in Pentagon Force Protection Agency policies.
- Utilize Defense Information System for Security (DISS) in processing security clearances and requests.
Job Requirements
- Active DoD TS with SCI eligibility
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree, or combination of lower-level education, formal experience, and training
- Three to seven years’ experience in a contractor private security officer (PSO) position
- Three cumulative years’ experience in acquisition SAPs
- Experience in and knowledge of personnel, industrial, physical, and information security disciplines and principles.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $115k – $132k per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
