About the role:
As a Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

Our teams are self-managed and cross-functional. We are focused on delivering value to the company through technical solutions. Each team is composed of Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, a Product Owner and a Scrum Master.
What you will be doing:
The Software/DevOps engineer will be involved in various stages of each product’s lifespan and should remain up to date on technological advancements to promote efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve difficult problems, explore new technology solutions, implement automation tools, work independently, and adhere to software development best practices. You must possess the ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.
Apply DevOps practices and principles to manage productions systems and infrastructure
Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
Perform root cause analysis for production errors
Investigate and resolve technical issues
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Manage the migration of multiple Applications from TFS pipelines to Azure Devops.
Manage the continual operations and maintenance of systems through the continual use of DevOps practices.
Create and maintain architectural, security and other documentation as needed for each system supported.
Collaborating with coworkers to conceptualize, develop, and release software.
Conducting quality assurance to ensure that the software meets prescribed guidelines.
Suggesting alterations to workflow to improve efficiency and success.
What you will need:
Reliable, self-motivated team player with positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Comfortable working as part of a distributed team.
Five years experience with PowerShell
Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
Experience using an array of automation and build tools
Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
Understanding of Azure SQL Managed Instance.
Manage CI/CD infrastructure and software delivery.
Experience with ARM templates, Azure Kubernetes, and Helm an absolute must.
Minimum of Five years IT/DevOps engineering experience and a minimum of three years of experience working in Azure.
Strong experience applying DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
Understanding of Azure including Azure Active Directory, Azure App Services, Azure Service Bus, Azure Kubernetes.
Experience in SQL Server administration & troubleshooting, and web server administration.
Experience with Microsoft Azure to deploy highly available, scalable, and secure applications.
Knowledge of Monitoring tools.
Knowledge of Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban).
Experience using an array of automation and build tools.
Familiarity with software security methods.
Experience working in both Windows Server, Linux, and Azure cloud environments – server administration, including virtual machine management (Hyper-V).
Demonstrable experience procuring, installing, and monitoring database and application servers (IIS for ASP.NET, SQL Server).
Added bonus if you have:
Domain knowledge/experience of the Payments Industry (practices, players, regulations) is a plus
Must be a quick and sharp thinker and be creative enough to react to the dynamic nature of Agile development
Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in computer science, management of information services or a related field or combination of experience.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $115,310.00 – $193,710.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
