Responsibilities

As part of the Software Development team, this position develops next generation solutions for the IGT instant ticket business unit. IGT is seeking software engineers that can deliver end-to-end integrated solutions. This position requires skills and experience in all phases of the software development process.

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Support an instant ticket game design and development through the entire software development cycle
  • Contributing to game design of other developers in the group
  • Build professional relationships with peers through immersion in the software environment
  • Interface with internal customers to determine development requirements
  • Work with mentor or department to understand the platform, best practices and processes used to develop Instant Tickets
  • Collaborate and work side-by-side with other disciplines involved in the development process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of software and/or web development with C# and ASP.NET MVC (Model-View-Controller) 5 or higher

Skills Required:

  • C#
  • ASP.NET MVC 5 or higher
  • WebAPI 2.0 or higher
  • .NET Framework 4.0 or higher
  • .NET Core 2.0 or higher
  • Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
  • Ability to understand and follow procedures to work independently
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Excellent organizational skills, good oral and written communication skills, and a high level of interpersonal skills for team atmosphere
  • Experience in lottery, gaming, or printing industry a plus
  • Advanced degrees or certifications a plus
  • Strong math background (probability and statistics) preferred
  • Windows application development preferred
  • Object oriented applications design and development preferred
  • Additional software skills preferred or useful: Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, Bootstrap, CSS, HTML5, IIS, Team Foundation Server (TFS), SQL Server 2014+, Entity Framework (EF), Web Services, Windows Presentation Platform (WPF), Windows Services, and/or SignalR.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $36,500 – $100,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
