Job description: Overview:Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Software Developer – Maximo Application Suite (Associate – Senior level) to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).Apply online using a current resume under the careers section of .The Software Developer – Maximo Application Suite (Associate – Senior level) develops, designs and/or modifies operating facility web-based applications and related software applications. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between operational requirements, hardware and software, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections. Designs and maintains web based, mobile technology, cloud, and security interface to meet the specific software needs of users. Responsibilities:
- Generates, revises, updates, compiles, debugs and writes scientific or software computer programs by applying limited use and/or application of software development principles, theories, and concepts and develops solutions to technical problems of limited scope.
- Develops flow charts and diagrams outlining process steps in operation; develops and revises program code.
- Prepares documentation of program development, modifications to code and operating instructions.
- Conducts program tests and may be required to analyze system capabilities to resolve input/output problems.
- Builds and codes applications and/or modules using languages such as C#, VB.net, XML, HTML, JavaScript, ASP.NET, etc.
- Installs patches and upgrades to existing systems.
- Supports design of web based, mobile technology, cloud, and security interface to meet the specific needs of users.
- Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Work is closely supervised and follows specific, detailed instructions.
- Errors are typically corrected without a major effect on the organization.
- Contacts are primarily immediate supervisor, project leaders and other personnel in the group.

Additional responsibilities for Mid-level and Senior-level Software Developers:
- Generates, revises, updates, compiles, debugs and writes scientific, or software computer programs by applying complete understanding and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and technologies and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems that are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.
- Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies applications software.
- Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
- Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
- Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
- May have subcontractor management responsibility.
- Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgement, overall adequacy and accuracy.
- Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects where errors may cause delays and expenditure of resources to rectify.
- Works primarily with internal contacts and has some contact with customer on routine matters.
- Plans system and development deployment
- Defines how organization meets software compliance standards.
- May design, model, document, and guide the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications.
- Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications.
- May create standards and/or perform modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.
- Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
- Contributes to completion specific projects where erroneous decisions may result in serious project delays and considerable expenditure of resources to rectify.
- Works frequently across organization and with customers on difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
- Defines standards for organization to comply with industry (IEEE) guidance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree
OR
- High School Diploma/GED and practical experience as defined in the job description.

- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Programming, Cyber Security
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with practical work experience
- Experience as an IBM Maximo Administrator.
- Experience with analyzing business processes with customers and documenting results.
- Experience with debugging and analyzing legacy or new applications.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Experience with data analytics using Microsoft Power BI or other similar product.
- Recognizes the operational Support Systems typically include facility control room Electronic Status Boards (ESB), Electronic Operator Rounds (EOR) and Limited Condition of Operations (LCO) tracking systems.
- Familiar with the facility regulatory operating basis and other facility control systems.

Minimum Pay: USD $54,600.00/Yr. Maximum Pay: USD $149,200.00/Yr.
