Job description: Blackstone Talent Group is seeking a Jr Software Developers for one of our premier clients.This role is ideal for a recent college grad or someone early in their career looking to be part of an awesome team.This can be worked 100% remotely!Entry level software developers. We are targeting a C#/ASP.net/.Net. software developer. Experience with engineering, math, or physics is a bonus. Preference to people in Colorado, but the day-to-day work will be remote.Job Duties
- Supports the development of system user documentation
- Supports the development of system coding documentation
- Supports identification of potential changes to scope or schedule
- Supports research and implementation of new tools and methods
- Develop plans to overcome obstacles using problem solving and critical thinking
- Communicates with the product owner and customer to document needs
- Generates detailed plans for developing software to meet the project needs
- Develops unit tests and validation tests for the product
- Produces code consistent with MxV Rail coding standards
- Follows MxV Rail Source Control Management (SCM) and branching guidelines
- Accurately communicates complicated technical concepts within the Software Services team
- Actively participates in code reviews (pull requests)
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- A current and valid drivers license is required at all times
- Demonstrable object-oriented design and programming skills
- Experience with at least two of the following: Fortran, C#, or C++
- Recent experience developing applications using MVVM and ORM frameworks
- Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio (Version 2015 or higher)
- Experience with .NET Framework or .NET Core
- Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous delivery development environment
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret data
- Ability and desire to learn new programming languages and technologies
- Experience in database design, database normalization, and SQL
- Demonstrable computer skills, with experience using Microsoft® Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Must effectively work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience in a professional environment
- 3+ years of experience programming in C# in the .NET environment
- Experience with a currently supported version of SQL Server (Version 2019 R2 or higher)
- Recent experience developing applications using WPF and Entity Framework
- Experience in laboratory testing methods, data collection, and data analysis techniques and reporting
- Experience managing project budgets and deliverables
- Extensive experience with Fortran, C#, or C++
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience with Azure DevOps or other integrated SCM (git) repository, bug tracking, and CI/CD build systems.
