Job description: A well established company based in Midrand is seeking a SOE Engineer.

Duties:

  • Maintaining a good relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Logging calls and incidents on the ITSM system [SNOW]
  • Attending to all incidents, from internal and external customers within SLA. Maintaining proper, professional communication within SLA intervals 30min feedback intervals until the issue is resolved.
  • To ensure e-mails are handled correctly and promptly.
  • To ensure that all telephone calls are dealt with in a professional, prompt and courteous manner.
  • Ensuring proper SNOW status etiquette as the incident progresses, observing the 4Hr SLA [ New, In progress, On hold, Close]
  • Providing thorough and efficient feedback to clients. Maintaining proper, professional email etiquette.
  • Pro-active monitoring of all network elements and services, escalating all alarms
  • To ensure outage notifications are sent out promptly to our customers, kept updated, and closed properly.
  • High site-related duties, power confirmation, access arrangements, escalating to high site leadership where it needs to be.
  • System support and maintenance [ SNOW and Vendor incident portals Openserve, DFA, etc.]
  • Chasing up outstanding events/incidents.
  • To maintain a high level of customer service while dealing with all SOC functions.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedure at all times.
  • Undertake all duties pertaining to the shift being worked.
  • Effective handover of information and responsibilities at the end of any shift.

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Minimum 2 years experience as Helpdesk Operator/NOC Engineer/SOC Engineer or other relevant experience
  • relevant experience
  • ITIL Foundation v3 or later
  • Wireless technology knowledge advantageous
  • A+ N+ required
  • CCNA knowledge Advantageous

Expected salary: R15000 – 18000 per month
