The SME Relationship Manager – Business Banking Abu Dhabi UAE is responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing a high-quality SME portfolio. The role involves financial analysis, credit structuring, sales planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance. It requires collaboration across multiple internal teams, including GTB, FX, Risk, and Credit, to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of SME clients with a focus on lending, cross-selling, and client retention
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed credit applications aligned with bank policies
  • Identify new business opportunities from both existing and prospective clients
  • Maintain high service standards and build strong, long-term client relationships
  • Collaborate with credit, product, and compliance teams to structure suitable solutions
  • Drive utilization of approved credit limits and expand client wallet share
  • Proactively manage risk by monitoring account conduct and addressing early warning signals
  • Ensure timely renewals and credit reviews in compliance with internal standards
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory updates
  • Plan and execute client visits, engage with NTBs, and support trade and FX revenue generation
  • Ensure full compliance with AML, internal policies, and regulatory frameworks
  • Monitor client profitability, revenue contributions, and operational performance

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in business, finance, or a related discipline
  • 5 to 8 years of banking experience with at least 4 years in SME or business banking
  • Strong understanding of SME credit, financial structuring, and portfolio management
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, client needs, and risk evaluation methodologies
  • Ability to build rapport, communicate effectively, and influence across various levels
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing business relationships
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, money laundering controls, and audit processes
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving capabilities
