Job description: Job Description:Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) is a US Federal Government focused Energy Service Company (ESCO) specializing in the delivery of Energy Savings construction, retrofit and maintenance and service contracts, US Army renewable energy contracts. The majority of the projects are with the Army Corp Utility Monitoring and Control Systems vertical market. This resource will manage a diversified professional portfolio providing professional services as Site Superintendent with Site Safety Health and Quality Control. Each discipline will act self-sufficiently with independent responsibilities. This position is located in Ft. Bragg, NC. This is a full-time position managing multiple projects on the Ft. Bragg site.This position is technical in nature and a successful candidate is expected to lead multidisciplinary, design/build projects with significant Mechanical, Electrical, Building Automation and General Construction content.Site SuperintendentThis resource is responsible for the successful execution of project goals, which include cost, schedule, quality and for the life cycle of the project. Provides site wide management of personnel for routine activities according to established procedures or instructions. Complies with the standards and organizational requirements related to specific assignments.Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all phases of projects from inception through completion including the following; project schedule, monitor and directing resources, document progress and identifying problems and overall financial well-being, along with safety and quality management.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings.
  • Direct the work of employees and/or subcontractors assigned to the project including from service, technical, finance, contract and administrative areas.
  • Direct diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Build alliances to form strong effective teams.
  • Interpret and report results to senior management as well as customers.
  • Lead weekly status meetings with customers

Site Safety ProfessionalThe Site Safety Professional monitors and documents the effectiveness of safety control measures. Will have decision authority related to safety for the company, be the program point of contact for interface with the Government on safety related issues, responsible for directing and providing health and safety program oversight, audits functions for health and safety procedure implementation, ensures compliance with corporate, federal, and state safety requirements, and conducting root-cause analysis of health and safety incidents. The Site Safety Professional used throughout the company and directs the Safety Staff in the implementation of The Corporate Health and Safety Program.Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct safety orientations and meetings with personnel at the jobsite.
  • Maintain applicable safety reference material
  • Conduct equipment and personnel inspections daily, to ensure subcontractors and employees are compliant.
  • Conduct mishap investigations.
  • Attend pre-construction conference, pre- work meetings, and three phase inspection meetings.
  • Implement and enforce APP, AHAs and EM 385-1-1.
  • Stops work, if necessary, to resolve matters that affect safety or quality.

Quality Control ProfessionalThis role is responsible for managing and performing the daily quality control (QC) responsibilities to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with the established minimum standards and specifications. The QC role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the workflow process and coordination with personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to provide and document a quality product.Responsibilities include:

  • Leads planning, development, and implementation of the Quality Control Management Plan and system for all work divisions from notice to proceed through final customer acceptance.
  • Daily QC reports and records daily quality control observations on all construction activities in daily inspection logs and takes photos of the progress
  • Manages Non-Conformance Notices and the Request for Information process through corrective action.
  • Verifies and documents that all materials received for the project are in conformance with approved submittals, and contract specifications. Verifies all onsite materials are handled and stored properly for use on the project.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections to verify all work is being performed in accordance with the contract documents, pertinent building codes & practices and the approved project submittals.
  • Documents final inspections, certificates of occupancy, and acceptance of completed work.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of experience related to HVAC experience with associated controls and/or with supervision of projects specific to task order requirements.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a quality control field
  • Five (5) years of experience in a safety field with emphasis on managing a safety program.
  • Experience with Federal Government industry processes, procedures, standards, methodologies, or tools as relative to the assignment.
  • Must have or must complete (within six months from hire) the USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors course.
  • Experience in implementing Accident Prevention Plans, and current EM385-1-1. Valid First Aid / CPR certification

Preferred:

  • Prefer extended experience in project scheduling, preferably in the MS Project application.
  • Valid certification in at least one of the following areas is preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) (with current progression towards a CSP), Occupational Health & Safety Technologist (OHST), Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), Industrial Hygienist (IH), or equivalent military certifications (such as: Army’s CP-12).
  • Completion of the 30-hour OSHA course.

An annual incentive target also is part of the compensation package for this position.
