The Site Health & Safety Manager leads all aspects of the site’s health and safety program in a dynamic warehouse/office environment. This role ensures compliance with regulations and company standards while driving a strong, proactive safety culture. Success requires close partnership with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into daily operations and critical initiatives. The Site H&S Manager will lead by example, engage employees at all levels, and continuously improve systems to reduce risk and promote accountability across. This leader is a subject matter expert in the areas of EH&S in distribution and can clearly articulate, develop and support a risk-based, prevention program. Reporting to the global H&S manager, this individual will implement programs, perform risk assessment, and ensure proactive risk management.What you will accomplish:

  • EH&S Compliance: Ensure maintained compliance to relevant local, state, and federal regulations; implement industry standards. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Risk Awareness: Perform regular risk assessments, job hazards analysis, and facility inspections. Identify issues, mentor and lead site teams in the development of a corrective action plan to address root causes.
  • Business Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with Operations Managers, Security, Facilities, Global Health & Safety, and other key leadership to align safety initiatives with business goals. Serve as a trusted adviser to site team.
  • Incident Management: Own response and investigation processes for incidents and near misses. Identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and track follow-ups.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use data-driven analysis and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) methodology, measure performance, and improve the efficiency of the safety management system.
  • Management of Change: Driving a robust process to ensure safety and health implications are accounted for. Identify, recommend, and verify control measures for operational changes on-site.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in occupational health and safety, science, engineering, or related field. Understanding of EH&S regulations and compliance requirements (OSHA, NFPA, EPA, ANSI, etc)
  • 2-5+ years EH&S experience, solid understanding of EHS Management systems. (ISO 45001, ANSI Z10, etc.)
  • Experience running and leading a successful safety committee.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, training development and delivery experience.
  • Relevant certifications (OSHA 40hr, ASP/CSP/GSP, NEBOSH, etc.)
  • This is an on-site position in Louisville, KY.

#LI-GJPThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: $70,000 – $120,700Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
