Job description: Overview:In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. – recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace – is seeking a Senior Web Developer leading a team of up between 5 – 10 developers in support of a federal government customer’s web and application development requirements. The application environment includes more than 50 applications to support the user community, administrative community, and for the public outreach. Many applications are integrated with the enterprise applications. In compliance with the Cloud Smart initiative, Client’s public websites are hosted in Azure. You will be responsible for leading web application and website development projects involving the planning, operations, personnel, budget, schedule, product deliverable quality and technical support for IT application and web site development and maintenance, web application infrastructure guidance, and other on-site technical services. The focus of these IT support activities is creation, development, maintenance, operation, and support of a web application infrastructure that provides an efficient, effective, reliable, and secure computing environment in support of Client’s mission and supports staff in the efficient and effective utilization of these capabilities.Location: Hybrid role in Bethesda, MD.Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires the ability to pass a background check.What You’ll Do:

  • You will be working with management to provide support in application design and development, enhance and maintain existing applications and their underlying technologies, assist in the design and development of new applications to accomplish the goal of replacing manual ways of tracking with more automated methods and incorporating suitable workflows for customer business processes, perform business process and system requirements analysis, system design, testing, implementation, deployment, training, and maintenance of the applications, and adhere to the existing customer software development standards.
  • You will develop, maintains and enhance several internal and external websites. Responsible for posting content and making basic structural changes. These sites use SharePoint Server 2016/2019 and Drupal content management system on-premises as well as in Microsoft Azure Cloud to maintain the site content. Able to modernize, enhance as well as customizing, implementing, and supporting in production the web application / website / SharePoint Server and Drupal content management systems, as well as experience with both stand-alone, replication, and clustering implementations.
  • You will provide support with architectural design, implementation, and maintenance activities for customer’s web applications infrastructure in the development, staging, and production environments in collaboration with other customer IT teams. Maintenance tasks include fine-tuning, release deployments, password changes, and patching according to a customer approved plan. Currently this includes the SharePoint 2019 dev, test, and production Apps farms, as well as the SharePoint 2016 dev, test, and production Extranet farms, as well as additional supporting servers.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Master’s degree preferred . A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of additional related experience is acceptable in lieu of a Master’s degree.
  • Min. 10 years’ experience with grants and council-related applications.
  • Min. 5 years’ experience with Drupal 8/9 in Azure, including DevOps automation with Behat/Cypress, Travis CI, and Jenkins/Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Min 5 years’ experience with SharePoint 2016/2019.

Abilities:

  • Understanding of Federal Government policies and procedures and demonstrated ability to meet fast turnaround deadlines.

Nice to Haves:

  • NET, ASP.NET , C#, Azure Developer Associate certification highly desired.

Salary Range:

  • Salary range is $140,000-155,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.

Expected salary: $140000 – 155000 per year
