Job description: The Senior Supply & Materials planner owns the demand fulfillment from the forecast input/analysis, production scheduling to delivery to DCs, including raw materials procure to pay. Enables effective inventory control on the Irvine site.

Responsibilities:

Acts under and in accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations and ASP policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Plans production, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Is responsible for identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw material supply plans.
  • Initiates the timely production and delivery to DCs and implements the corresponding STOs.
  • Monitors WIP materials plans ensuring optimal coverage and minimizing scrap.
  • Responsible for purchasing assigned components, materials and supplies from approved suppliers, adhering to the DOA thresholds of approvals.
  • Maximizes adherence to the demand levels through proper raw materials planning (owns the procure to pay process including placing PRs/POs and following up on timely materials delivery and payment issues troubleshooting).
  • Coordinates with suppliers to resolve material nonconformance issues, invoice/quantity discrepancies and containment actions.
  • Monitors materials SLOB / shelf-life, the goal being to buy right to not need to manage shelf-life constraints.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the site materials inventory through the Fortive cycle count program, including yearly program renewal.
  • Ensure the cycle count parameters are accurately set in ERP and updates the ABC categorization periodically to minimize the warehouse cycle count Muda.
  • In charge of non-NC related scrap, and inventory adjustments.
  • Responsible for the non-NC MDAs creation.
  • Supports monthly supply/demand and operations planning process and identifies any risks due to raw material supply.
  • Monitors all the standard operation procedures. Recommends changes and improvements.
  • Maintains a set of KPI that are part of the daily management.
  • Drives Production, Sales, Inventory (PSI) and Scenario Impact for assigned products at plant supply review during Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.
  • Responsible for escalating issues to management using available channels.

Our Needs:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in the Manufacturing environment, medical device, or Aerospace preferred.
  • Worked at least 4 years in Supply Chain Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of the basic principles of production planning and procurement.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented.
  • Ability to evaluate data inputs and build meaningful analysis.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and analytical skills.

Irvine, CA: The salary range for this position is $75,785- $140,875

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.

Expected salary: $75785 – 140875 per year
