We are seeking a suitably skilled Senior Speech Pathologist to join our Outpatient / Sub-Acute, Aged and Community Services (SAACS) teams. The details of the clinical allocations will be decided upon with the successful applicant, but may include both centre-based and outreach services from the state’s tertiary care centre (Royal Hobart Hospital). This position will service a diverse and exciting Speech Pathology caseload.

Evidence of your competence in Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS) and/or Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) will be highly regarded. We provide a supportive learning environment and a generous professional development package for those who wish to further extend their skills.

In this role, you will join our leadership team, and will help to develop our future leaders, sharing your knowledge with our junior staff and students completing their Masters of Speech Pathology at the University of Tasmania.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part-time day worker position, working 68.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary

$106,966 – $ 123,013 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,53 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
  • Salary range is in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia
  • Eligible for membership with the Speech Pathology Australia

Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements

  • Full member of Speech Pathology Australia

  • Current Driver’s Licence
