CompensationThe range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual(s) will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.Expected Minimum Pay RateUSD $90,900.00/Yr.Expected Maximum Pay RateUSD $125,000.00/Yr.ResponsibilitiesWhat You Will DoAs a Senior Software Engineer you are responsible for analyzing complex and multifaceted application systems that cross multiple technical environments and for the entire enterprise. The role’s purpose is to possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of multiple business operating procedures, functionality and the potential impact on other systems or business units. This job classification requires intermediate to advanced technical knowledge of design principles, structured programming techniques and software development life cycle. Lead responsibilities may include assisting in project planning, project management and/or coordinating technical activities of the team.How You Will Make A Difference

  • You will perform a variety of IT systems analysis, design, development, installation, implementation, procurement or technical support duties in connection with IT systems.
  • You will apply a moderately high level of logic and reason to identify and solve complex, multi-faceted IT and business problems.
  • You will meet with client groups to define software needs and offer possible solutions to the business issues; ensuring feasibility of technical functionality with existing software.
  • You will lead the technical aspects of moderately complex IT studies on projects for systems solutions, involving defining the scope, goals, and deliverables, and using analytical tools.
  • You will provide technical advice and coordinate the technical activities of the team and monitor assigned tasks to ensure overall project quality; you will also conduct software coding, testing, debugging and documentation with assigned team.
  • You will provide ongoing support of existing systems through change analysis and problem resolution.
  • You will apply appropriate principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • You will participate in creating the Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation with clients.
  • You will provide both software and hardware technical support for POS (Point of Sale) and SCO (Self-Checkout) applications (primarily NCR Emerald), including cloud-based apps, local servers, POS lanes and peripherals. Peripherals include POS lane controllers, receipt printers, scanner/scales, hand scanners, touch screen monitors, customer monitors, payment terminals, cash drawers, and asst. cables.

QualificationsMust Haves

  • BA/BS or MA/MS in Computer Science or related subject or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years professional experience related to analytical or system support, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of one of the main SDLC Models including but not limited to Agile, Waterfall and Iterative.
  • Intermediate knowledge of two or more of the following:
  • SQL (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres)
  • Programming skills (Java, C#, C++, Objective-C, C, ABAP)
  • Scripting (bash, Javascript, Powershell, Perl, Python, Groovy)
  • ERP Configuration (SAP, Peoplesoft)
  • ETL and API Tools
  • Intermediate knowledge of DevOps development and Cloud technologies
  • Progressively responsible analytical skills/experience performing a variety of IT systems analysis, design, development, installation, implementation, procurement, or technical support duties in connection with IT systems.
  • Progressively responsible skills/experience and knowledge of analyzing operational methods and designing IT systems to meet desired results.
  • Ability to provide limited-leadership on IT studies or systems.
  • Ability to resolve complex IT problems.
  • Understanding of pharmacy application McKesson ERx is an added advantage.

In this role, you will need to be able to support the following technical processes:

  • Review and understand system logs (both application and Windows)
  • Create & modify PowerShell/Bash scripts
  • Perform application updates
  • Perform other updates (files, folders, etc.)
  • Run, modify, and execute SQL scripts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Understanding concept and usage of REST APIs
  • Working knowledge of tools like POSTMAN for API testing
  • Understanding of ETL tool Boomi
  • Working Knowledge of MS Office, O365, Teams, and JIRA
  • Understand Web/micro services

Physical Demands – Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Work is performed in a business office environment.

This is primarily an onsite position in Sacramento. * Occasional travel to outside locations or meetings may be required.

  • Ability to work extended hours, including night shifts as required, in support of the company’s business need.
