- Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
- Write well-designed, testable code.
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
- Document and maintain software functionality.
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
- Comply with project plans and industry standards.
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, computing equipment, and participating in educational opportunities.
- Set an example for others to follow by considering the business’s and team’s best interests.
- Support and mentor Software Engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and help manage project priorities and timelines.
- Take ownership of assigned core technologies and functionalities.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with C#– 5+ years.
- Working knowledge of SQL – 5+ years.
- Unit Testing – 5+ years.
Preferred:
- JavaScript or TypeScript- 5+ years.
- React – 2+ years
- ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC or Core – 5+ years.
- GIT / GitHub – 2+ years.
- Experience with GIS systems including ESRI
- Experience writing low-level software communicating with TCP/IP
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server with 10+ years experience
