HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Senior SAP Developer provides SAP technical expertise to develop, test and debug innovative solutions in an SAP centric global landscape. Responsible for maintaining the standardization and integrity of SAP solutions and data throughout the entire global landscape, thus enabling the business to function more efficiently and meet the requirements placed on it by customers, government, and internal initiatives.

THE DETAILS:

  • Design, develop, configure, test & implement solutions to meet business requirements while adhering to development standards & methodologies
  • Provide hands-on development in ABAP & OOPS, UI5/Fiori, BTP, Web Dynpro ABAP.
  • Develop solutions interfacing RESTful web services (OData, JSON) and other data integrations like flat file over FTP, SQL database
  • Leverage knowledge of SAP IDOC processing & monitoring services to transform messages to/from SAP IDOC to XML format.
  • Perform code reviews with peers; able to recognize good programming techniques and correct coding problems; plans & executes unit tests
  • Partner closely with SAP Basis Team & Business Analysts for implementations and troubleshooting
  • Ensure common technical elements are leveraged to reduce duplication and technical debt; monitor and guide technical teams.
  • Participate in product roadmap and product strategy definition; engage with partners to identify & validate requirements, translate to technical designs
  • Deliver complex projects in a fast-paced, team environment; utilize structured problem-solving skills.
  • Adhere to SAP best practices & standards; maintains stable/scalable SAP environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience is required.
  • 7-10+ years of ABAP development experience; understanding of SAP best practices.
  • Extensive development experience using ABAP RICEFW objects, OOABAP, ALE/IDOC, RFC BAPI, User Exits, and SAP enhancements; experience with debugging & performance analysis.
  • Experience in SAPScript, Smartforms, and Adobe Interactive Forms, ALV Reporting, ABAP report development, dialog programming, enhancements & BADIs; LSMW output determination routines including conditions and requirement routines; User-exits – CMOD/SMOD BADIs are a plus.
  • Knowledgeable with latest best practices for S/4 HANA/BTP development. CDS Views, ABAP Managed Database procedures (AMDP), Virtual Data Model (VDM). ALV with IDA.
  • SAP UI5 / Fiori, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
  • OData Services, SAP Web Services , HTTP Protocol and experience interfacing RESTful web services using ABAP.
  • Experience working with interfaces in addition to web services, such as connectors and communication with non-SAP applications.
  • Experience in documenting system specifications, developing tests, and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP technologies.
  • Experience with SAP security concepts; must have implemented authorization checks in ABAP objects.
  • Experience with SAP cloud technologies, SAP BW, SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration), SAP HCM, SAP CR – highly desired.
  • Experience with SAP Personas, SAP MII, SAP SOA Manager.
  • Experience with compliance regulations such as GDPR, GRC a plus.
  • Additional skills in development & related software areas, including Java, NodeJS & .NET.
  • Strong structured problem solving and technical leadership skills.
  • Ability to assess and manage risks and issues with manager and cross functional teams.
  • Proficient with structured development methodologies; experience working with cross functional teams; ability to rapidly learn new technologies.
  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms.
  • Collaborative & effective team player, able to work with globally dispersed teams.
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, code vulnerabilities, build processes, testing and deployment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), data management software.
  • Available to work on site as required by job; eligible for domestic and international travel several times per year up to two weeks’ duration.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000 to $150,000.
