We also provide important community-based services, of which the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is an integral part.Join our team and contribute to providing South Australia’s women, babies, children and young people with the best health care through both within our hospital or via our many and varied community services and programs.The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a free community-based tertiary mental health service provided through the WCHN across South Australia, providing care to those with severe and/or complex mental health needs. CAMHS provides services to: infants / children / young people up to 18 (16 in some areas) for community, statewide and hospital-based services / perinatal women.The OpportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Central Metro team as a Senior Psychologist in a full time capacity, permanent / ongoing.The Senior Psychologist provides quality services to children, adolescents and their families experiencing complex, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, within a multidisciplinary and interagency team context.We are looking for an extensively experienced and highly competent clinician who can deliver advanced clinical services to the child and adolescent mental health population and also assumes a clinical/professional leadership role within the team, undertaking professional supervision of psychology staff working within their team or within another team.The Senior Psychologist is responsible for contributing to improvements in the quality, safety and community needs driven distribution of services across CAMHS. You will be working with all allied health staff, nursing and medical staff, as well as service managers, clinical coordinators, lead psychiatrist, staff and other stakeholders on service delivery development, and practice requirements to meet client needs and demand.About YouTo be eligible you must have:

  • Appropriate degree in Psychology (Masters Degree in Clinical or Health Psychology) or equivalent qualification recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • General registration with Psychology Board of Australia and be endorsed in clinical and/or health psychology area of practice
  • Approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia at all levels of supervision (primary and secondary).
