As the Senior Planning and Engineering Officer with the Department of Planning, Land and Heritage (DPLH), you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient planning and execution of projects. You’ll be part of the Infrastructure Planning team delivering a range of transport planning services throughout WA such as road planning projects, reporting on transport matters related to urban planning and development applications, investigating, and contributing to a range of transport planning and policy issues. This role also requires to be engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

This is an open pool recruitment process for permanent full-time, and fixed term full-time opportunities. Suitable applicants will be placed in a Pool from which appointments may be made for similar vacancies for a period of 12 months.
Located in Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail, close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.
To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate sound skills, knowledge and experience in:
- Transport planning, traffic engineering, traffic modelling and/ or road design.
- Preparing and/or reviewing traffic and transport reports from a transport planning statutory viewpoint.
- Developing scope of works, project management and/ or contract management.
- Providing technical advice and recommendations to a range of stakeholders within the statutory framework.
- Technical report writing.
- A degree in Civil, Traffic or Transport Engineering or Urban/ Regional Planning is essential.
- Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Personal Leadership as outlined below.
