Our trucks are designed to perform under the toughest conditions.The Senior Manager, Safety is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs across all Wisconsin-based Oshkosh Vocational locations.YOUR IMPACT:
- Assess, enhance, and implement loss prevention and safety programs.
- Serve as a Safety Management System (SMS) auditor for Vocational operating locations.
- Share safety best practices and lessons learned across Wisconsin-based locations.
- Assist in developing strategic safety plans.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide direction and guidance on the implementation and maintenance of health and safety programs.
- Support management in developing, implementing, and enforcing accountability programs.
- Establish guidelines for roles, training, performance metrics, and recognition within the safety management system.
- Provide safety training and development to operational leadership.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all OSHA, federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in safety management.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in ergonomics.
- ASP certification or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential.
- Strong leadership, development, project management, and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range: $102,800.00 – $176,800.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
