Job Description

Our People Technology team is looking for a senior manager in Austin, TX, working with the Senior Director of Total Rewards/HCM/M&A Technology in Austin. Our solutions include Workday, other leading vendor applications and n-tier applications built by Visa.

In this role, we provide and lead all aspects of technical support for the Workday HCM application including “keeping the lights on”, running software upgrades, keeping current with security patches, and ensuring the system continues to perform as expected. You will lead a technical team to provide support for the development and configuration of multiple Workday HCM integrations to meet the business requirements laid out in the Workday Program roadmap. You will keep the system current with new releases of the Workday HCM tool and ensue all upgrades and enhancements are fully unit and integration tested.

We collaborate with business partners, multiple Visa IT teams and third-party vendors to ensure there is no gap in solutions during the period of transition by applying ad-hoc functions to support business needs. Essential Functions:

  • Maintain existing Workday HCM solutions, software upgrades, and security patches. Oversee development or integrations, configurations, customizations with internal/external solutions.
  • Engage into scheduled release cycle of HCM tools (Workday and others) and ensure changes are tested completely.
  • Design and create ad-hoc solutions whenever necessary to support ad-hoc business needs.
  • Build scalable solutions with available technologies (like Workday Cloud Platform, Full-Stack Development Framework).
  • Hire the best technical talent and give them opportunities to grow and flourish. Challenge and support your team to deliver lasting, scalable, and secure solutions that offer delightful user experiences.
  • Lead solution teams from design through delivery, encouraging technical leaders to implement best practices around SDLC to deliver high-quality and highly resilient solutions.
  • Participate in technical delivery activities including requirements finalization, estimation, architecture artifacts, design, development, testing, L1 support training, deployment, launch and post-launch readiness, and maintenance.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Experience working with third party vendor solutions like (Workday, ADP, Cloudpay, Applicant Tracking Systems, AON, Merrill etc.)
  • Demonstrated examples of impacting individuals and teams via career growth and exposure
  • Hands-on experience in building and supporting HCM Systems (like Workday/Peoplesoft/SAP/Oracle/ADP) across various domains like Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talen Acquisition, Talent Management as well as Integrations to downstream 3rd party systems.
  • Hands-on experience in building custom solution using full-stack technologies (like, .Net/Java/Python, RDBS System/NoSQL, SOA, SOAP, REST, ETL Framework, Web Technologies, Angular/ASP.Net).
  • Experience with Implementation, upgrade as well as production support type projects across people/HR Systems.
  • Exposure to software and architectural design patterns and governing principles
  • Experience leading/controlling budgets

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 141,900.00 to 184,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Expected salary: $141900 – 184500 per year
