Position Summary
Can/Am has a strong referral backing of clients that love our product and our employees. Our cashiering/payment software integrates with many enterprise applications. We have recently launched an online platform that provides direct customer/citizen access to Teller. Teller Online is built using AWS Serverless, C#, and Angular technology. There is tremendous opportunity and demand for increased expansion of Teller, Teller Online, and the provision of new modules.Can/Am is looking for a strong Software Developer with 5 or more years of hands-on experience in a software product company. The Developer will be a key member of the Teller Team, designing and implementing software solutions, advising clients on Teller deployment, and coordinating with the Teller team on rollouts of Teller technology. Experience with web technologies and cloud hosting is key.Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a fast learner with an aptitude for understanding and maintaining complex systems while also excelling in client engagement and team leadership.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a full-stack developer, particularly in our technology stack:
  • .NET (C# ASP.NET)
  • Angular
  • SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • AWS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and/or implementing cloud solutions.
  • Strong background in developing software using web technologies, scripting for automation, and UI/UX design.
  • Experience in supervising/enabling a development team, providing technology as part of client-facing operations. Working in tandem with internal business staff and Project Managers to achieve project cost and timeline goals for clients.
  • Experience with Git, JIRA (nice to have), and performance analysis.
  • Expertise in cloud security controls, including tenant isolation, encryption, key management, and application firewalls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and client interactions.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis.
  • Experience managing dependencies across Product, Operations, and Implementation teams.
  • Strong mentorship capabilities, fostering clarity, confidence, and skill development within the tech team.

  • Mentorship & Leadership:
  • Provide technical guidance and professional development opportunities for the internal tech team.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between different technical teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.

  • People Management: Cultivate a positive team environment, ensuring the team exhibits our company values.
  • Process Improvement: Design and implement new processes that drive quality and efficiency.
  • Software Development & Implementation:
  • Design and build software solutions that meet the needs of the business and clients.
  • Ensure quality via personal testing, automated unit tests, and bug resolution.
  • Participate in design review meetings and provide expert technical insights.
  • Scrum Master Responsibilities: Implement and manage Scrum methodology to enhance team performance and accountability. (Scrum Master preferred)
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work effectively with Product, Operations, and Implementation teams to manage dependencies and align goals.
  • Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
