Job description: Overview:In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. – recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace – is seeking a Senior Application Developer Lead.You will lead a team of up to 5 members in support of software application development efforts. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance for designing and developing new applications, as well as enhancing and maintaining existing ones and their underlying technologies. You will assist in the design and development of solutions aimed at replacing manual tracking methods with automated systems, incorporating workflows that align with customer business processes. Additionally, your responsibilities will include performing business process and system requirements analysis, system design, testing, implementation, deployment, training, and ongoing maintenance of applications.The applications will include custom-built, proprietary “off-the-shelf” software, web and cloud-based solutions, as well as integrations with both internal and external systems. Customer applications are currently built on technologies such as .NET, SharePoint, K2 5.4, and Qlik Sense. You will be expected to contribute to the architectural design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the customer’s application infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments. This will be done in collaboration with other IT teams and system owners. Maintenance tasks will involve fine-tuning, release deployments, password changes, and patching, all carried out in accordance with an approved customer plan.Location: Hybrid role in Bethesda, MD.Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires the ability to pass a background check.What You’ll Do:Lead agile DevOps application development activities to analyze, implement, and streamline where required the Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) process as well as other System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process including, but not limited to:

  • Using agile methodologies to develop, maintain, and enhance the applications designed to support the customer’s scientific, business operations, and analytical research needs. Systems designed to collect, share, analyze, and report on large, complex data sets.
  • Conduct and document business analysis, feasibility studies, scope definition, and time, schedule, and cost estimates.
  • Lead a project from concept design, information architecture, user interface design, design and code development, QA testing, user acceptance testing, and final production, to preparation and finalization for launch.
  • Research, prepare, and manage technical documentation.
  • Lead agile scrum sessions; provide progress reports and status updates directly to key customer stakeholders.
  • Interface and collaborate with 3rd party vendors as well as government personnel.
  • Ensure applications meeting the standards for accessibility by individuals with disabilities (Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act) as well as all applicable Federal standards for security and privacy.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Master’s degree. A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of additional related experience is acceptable in lieu of a Master’s degree.
  • 10 years’ experience in .Net and SharePoint 2013/2016/2019/SPO, along with MVC, Ajax.
  • 5 years’ experience with K2 Blackpearl.
  • Experience with ActivePDF products, Telerik Radcontrols and iText/iTextSharp, SharePoint Search.
  • Experience writing web service calls to SAM.gov, NIH POTS, NIH NPMP, and other enterprise systems.

Abilities:

  • Understanding of Federal Government policies and procedures and demonstrated ability to meet fast turnaround deadlines.

Nice to Haves:

  • .NET, ASP.NET , C#, or Azure Developer Associate certification highly desired.

Salary Range:

  • Salary range is $150,000-165,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.

Expected salary: $150000 – 165000 per year
