About This Opportunity
The Senior Administration Officer role offers crucial support to the Business Enhancement team in the Academic Services Division. This involves spearheading business process improvement initiatives, including digitization and automation projects led by the Office of the Academic Registrar. The goal is to enhance student experiences and streamline administrative processes across the university.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Business Enhancement, the role entails regular collaboration with other ASD team members and ITS developers responsible for implementing technical solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Operations
Lead the development of acceptance criteria and oversee user acceptance testing, resolving any issues that arise.
Manage the identification and resolution of bugs and defects discovered during testing.
Coordinate business readiness activities, including creating training materials and ensuring accurate information dissemination.
Foster collaborative relationships with business, technical, and university stakeholders to analyse current procedures and establish improved processes and project requirements.
Reporting and Compliance
Monitor and report on the usage, volumes, and compliance of digitized processes.
Identify deficiencies in current policies and suggest improvements for streamlining.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop reporting frameworks for digitized processes.
Prepare reports by analysing and summarizing relevant information collected from work units.
About You
Essential
Degree completion with relevant experience or equivalent education/training.
Proficiency in current technologies.
Current or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge regarding the University’s structure, policies, and procedures.
Strong problem-solving, communication, time management, and attention to detail skills.
Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage stakeholder expectations and build productive relationships.
Desirable
Relevant experience in student administration in a higher education institution or similar environment.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
