About the Role
Our Finance Services Branch is located within the Finance and Commercial Services Directorate at our Head Office at the Don Aitken Centre East Perth. The Branch provides strategic support and corporate development through provision of leadership in Financial Management, innovative solutions to Business/Financial Management issues and provision of Best Practice financial systems, policies and processes.
As a Senior Accounting Officer, you will provide specialist support and co-ordination of the accounts payable process in accordance with Main Roads’ policies and procedures. You will also maintain and provide advice on supplier information contained in the financial management system.
We’re looking for someone who will use their skills and experience in developing and enhancing stakeholder relationships to support them in providing effective business solutions and specialist support. About You
To be successful in this role, you will show us how you will:
- Co-ordinate and maintain integrity with accounts payable, purchase orders and general ledgers
- Have a passion for integrity, particularly in ensuring it is maintained with the above processes
- Develop, implement and maintain data bases such as supplier data bases, and be familiar with Financial Management Systems
- Use your understanding of GST to co-ordinate and provide advice on its application on accounts payable processes with Main Roads, and;
- Be committed to providing a high level of customer service to our internal and external stakeholders.
