Job description: Our client, a group of companies is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant for their animal feed & forage division based in Abu Dhabi.Job Responsibilities:

- Maintain, control and monitor all financial accounting related matters and assist in preparation of financial reports in accordance with IFRS to ensure that reporting is accurate and delivered within the timelines set by the regulators and external/internal stakeholders
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Manage the sales, accounting and inventory at numerous retail outlets
- Oversee the preparation of daily and weekly sales report
- Preparation of Consolidation of Group Balance Sheet, P&L statement and Cash Flows
- Review and approve expense reports and maintain petty cash
- Responsible for tracking collections and payments outstanding
- Responsible for budgeting and monitoring monthly performance against the budget

- Administer all bank transactions and oversee data recording procedures monthly.
- Provide support to auxiliary schedules for auditing purposes as per assigned work.
- Analyze different general ledger accounts regularly.
- Develop budgetary plans for processes as per requirement.
- Prepare journal entries and synthesize common ledger for subsidiary accounts.
- Reconciliation of Bank / Debtors / Creditors Accounts.
- Design and prepare audit schedules for external audit processors.
- Monitor account reconciliation, tax, and calculations
- Manage and maintain finance-related programs and documents inclusive of future plans and programs
- Develop and formulate all reports and deliver presentation projects for repeated usage.
- Determine own day-to-day work priorities whilst collaborating across the team and business to support achievement of agreed objectives
- Empowered to make decisions within standard operating procedures and company policies and procedures.
- Decisions outside of this scope are to be escalated to the Manager, Head of Department.
- Follow management instructions and uphold Company’s Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures, Charters
Education & other requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA or ACCA Qualified
- MBA Finance preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with multiple retail outlets
- Experience with Netsuite ERP system
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP & IFRS
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- General ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Demonstrated business acumen and commercial rationale to support business decisions
- VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP; Pivot tables; Auditing formulas; Data Validation; Macros etc.
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Salary: Up to AED 15000Working Hours/ Days: 8.30am to 5.30pm / 5 days a weekJob Location: Abu Dhabi
Expected salary: 15000 per month
