Job description: · Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.· Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to management and relevant stakeholders.· Provide insights into financial performance and recommend areas for improvement.· Oversee the general ledger and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.· Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.· Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.· Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis.· Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.· Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks affecting the financial health of the organization.· Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.· Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial operations.· Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to achieve organizational goals.· Work closely and support all Departments to ensure that the organizations financial goals are aligned with its overall business strategy.· Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Accounting staff.· Stay informed about changes in Finance related and tax laws and regulations.· Support the Finance Manager and the Finance Director in financial planning, systems and policies.· On an adhoc basis, carry out any other duties assigned.· Bachelors degree in Finance or related field.· Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.· Proficiency in Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel.· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.· Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Expected salary: R12000 – 18000 per month
