Job description: Our client, a leading manufacturer of hygiene & sanitizing products is seeking to hire a Secretary Cum Purchaser for their office based in Sharjah.Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments with suppliers for senior executives and staff members.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation for meetings and presentations required.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic files, records, and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Oversee office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Serve as the point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, and purchasing requests.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
  • Ensure materials purchased are according to company’s SOP.
  • Responsible for requisition process for new product, from sourcing, negotiating quotations, renew and discontinue contract with supplier.
  • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitiveness to meet business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
  • Keep all the internal forms and suppliers’ documents (Vendor File) up to date.
  • Liaise with Storekeepers to maintain minimum stock of raw materials.
  • Raise daily PO to General Manager for approval and Issue PO for warehouse requirements efficiently.
  • Update price in system and record to price list file (excel).
  • Conduct research and provide administrative support to various projects, as assigned related to admin & purchasing.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers maintaining quality aspects.

Education & other requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant functional discipline
  • Knowledge of ERP System
  • Experience in L/C documentation & manufacturing / trading industry will be an advantage
  • Proficient in English
  • Age requirement is 33 years old and above
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently
  • Computer literate, with knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, creative and resourceful
  • Initiative and possesses drive, focus and work well under pressure to meet fast changing requirements and expectations
  • Proven negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Analytical, data driven approach with attention to detail

Salary: Upto AED 8000Working Hours/Days: 8am to 6pm / 6 days a weekJob Location: Sharjah

Expected salary: 8000 per month
