Scientist, Analytical Development
We are seeking a Scientist and team leader to join the Analytical Development team responsible for the Phase Appropriate development of cGMP release & stability methods to transfer to the Quality Control division. Experience as a people manager is desired to train, mentor and manage junior scientists.
This role will also be responsible for overseeing and developing characterization assays, sample testing for process development, writing SOPs & technical reports, method co-qualification, and more within the autologous cell therapy division. The focus will be on the development of molecular assays and ELISA impurity methods utilizing a Design of Experiment approach. Expertise in at least one of these fields is required with the other to be trained on and developed.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in a biotechnology related field (biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, biology) with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in a GMP industry setting.
- Expertise in either molecular assays or ELISA’s.
- Skilled in Phase Appropriate method development & qualification activities for clinical programs with a solid understanding of the ICH guidelines.
- Autonomously design, execute, and troubleshoot method development activities including statistical analysis of data.
- Impeccable writing and verbal communication skills are essential for the position’s deliverables including scientific reports and presentations.
- Seek out new and/or better ways to enhance our science & technology by staying on top of current literature and emerging technologies
Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in Design of Experiments (DoE) software is a plus, JMP software is used onsite for method development activities and statistical analysis of data.
- Positive can-do attitude, desire to expand capabilities.
- Ability to manage and quickly pivot to changing priorities, desire to learn new skills, bring ideas, solutions, and your voice to the table to drive decisions and advance our science.
