Job description: TITLE: SAP Solution Architect (Finance)LOCATION: Houston, TexasTYPE: Direct HireSALARY: $165,000 – $185,000SUMMARY:The SAP Solution Architect (Finance) is a technical leader who architects, implements, and optimizes SAP solutions that power the financial, procure to pay, and maintenance operations. This role focuses on leveraging the latest SAP technologies, including S/4HANA, Business Technology Platform (BTP), and workflow capabilities, to ensure robust financial controls, insightful reporting, and data-driven decision-making. Liaises with cross-functional team members in other SAP modules or non-SAP solutions. Ensure compliance with change control procedures for on-going changes, enhancements, and projects and maintains operational procedures around supported environments.DUTIES:– Effectively liaises within multidisciplinary, high-performance work teams, supporting and empowering team members to complete their activities on time and with high quality.– Builds effective and creative cross-functional teams, fostering a positive and productive environment.– Encourages the success of others and constructively resolves conflicts.– Develops efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.– Demonstrates the ability to make sound decisions and solve complex business and technical issues.– Possesses strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.– Demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and commitment to business values.– Possesses ability to communicate and translate technical topics into easy-to-understand concepts.– Excellent written and communication skills, ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.– Extremely proficient in use of Microsoft office tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, Teams.– Ideal candidate shall possess broad understanding of SAP, SAP Finance function, SAPFamiliar with General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable, Banking, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting– Knowledge of S/4 HANA 2022 suite of applications.– Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and ChaRM would be ideal.– Experience of working with outsourced Application Management Support (AMS) provider.– Strong understanding of Finance principles, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.– Proficiency in SAP BTP, Workflow, ABAP development for custom enhancements and integrations.– Experience with SAP data warehousing and reporting tools (e.g., SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud).– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.REQUIREMENTS:– 10+ years of experience in SAP FICO implementation, configuration, and support for large-scale integrated solutions.– 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, specializing in the SAP FI and SAP CO modules.– 3+ full life cycle SAP implementations SAP S/4HANA experience is a must.– Experience in designing and implementing solutions on SAP BTP, including custom workflows and extensions.– Demonstrates leadership in SAP project implementation and management.– Experienced in coordinating with IT and/or SAP Project Managers to organize, plan, and execute large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors to meet objectives.– Successfully develops, implements, and supports applications within the latest SAP technology architecture environments.EDUCATION:– Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Management, Engineering, and/or Accounting– SAP FICO certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate or Professional) are highly preferred.– PMP Certification preferred but not mandatory.
