- Attractive annual salary ranging from $75,885 to $88,192 plus 11% superannuation
THE OPPORTUNITY
This role assists the Water and Sewer Coordinator (West) in providing beneficial and cost efficient water services, water and sewer mains, sewer effluent lines and associated assets repairs, maintenance and construction within the reticulation of Council’s water supply network.
This position works predominately Monday to Friday however is required to participate in an on call roster after hours and on weekends.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide beneficial and cost efficient services in relation to construction, repair and maintenance of water services, water and sewer mains, sewer effluent lines and associated assets as per Councils plans and specification
- Assist in the organisation of and carry out all necessary work in relation to maintenance and repair of water services and sewer effluent lines as and when incumbent’s team is required to do so
- Supervise your team and their duties ensuring that individual accountabilities and performance are monitored and achieved
- Ensure that the organisation’s policies and procedures are fully understood and adhered to by your team
- Ensure appropriate communication to your team to ensure awareness of relevant key issue
- Foster good team work and high staff morale within the team
ABOUT YOU
You are a hands-on leader, with experience in water and sewer operations. You are passionate about ensuring the delivery of quality reticulation services to the community.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- Extensive experience in pipe construction and the repair and maintenance of water and sewerage mains.
- Ability to safely operate a range of plant and equipment
- Class MR Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team
- Intermediate level computer skills
