As part of the Residential Education team, the Operations Manager is responsible for managing room assignments, housing transitions, and guest logistics across NYUAD\’s residential colleges. The role includes extensive coordination with departments such as Facilities, Hospitality, and Public Safety. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication, housing system expertise, and the ability to support students with compassion and efficiency. This is a 12-month live-in position with evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage housing assignments and room changes via StarRez and MOSES
  • Coordinate all housing transition logistics: move-ins, move-outs, emergency housing, and room readiness
  • Enforce residential guest policy and manage registration workflows
  • Serve as liaison with Facilities and other units to track maintenance and support inspections
  • Handle student communication through email, infographics, housing guides, and digital platforms
  • Respond to emergencies as part of a 24/7 on-call rotation, addressing health, safety, and facilities issues
  • Provide student-centered support for housing-related accommodations and transitions
  • Supervise housing logistics and participate in leadership training with student resident assistants

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or counseling preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in residential life or student housing
  • Strong proficiency in housing software (StarRez or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and multi-department collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with emergency response protocols and crisis intervention practices
  • Experience working directly with students, including those needing special housing accommodations
